PECO Energy Company (PECO) is soliciting Proposals to procure the energy, capacity, and solar photovoltaic alternative energy credits generated by one or more new Pennsylvania solar photovoltaic Projects. The Pennsylvania Public Utility Commission approved PECO’s Solar RFP process and the terms of the Power Purchase Agreement (PPA) in a decision dated February 3, 2025 under Docket No. P-2024-3046008. NERA will serve as the Independent Evaluator.
PECO is seeking to enter into PPAs with solar Projects for a ten-year term for up to 25 MW (DC). PECO will accept Proposals for a share (%) of Projects that are larger than 25 MW (DC). The minimum size of each Project is 5 MW (DC). All Projects must be new. All Projects must, when constructed:
- be located within the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania;
- be connected to the PJM grid;
- be able to sell energy and capacity into PJM markets; and
- satisfy the requirement of Tier I solar Alternative Energy Systems under Pennsylvania’s AEPS Act.
