On October 21, 2025, PECO Energy Company (“PECO”) issued a Request for Proposals (“RFP”) seeking to enter into PPAs by June 2026 for up to 25 MW (DC) of solar photovoltaic projects. In order to participate in the RFP, projects were required to be: new; constructed in Pennsylvania; at least 5 MW (DC); and expected to achieve commercial operations no later than May 31, 2029.

The deadline to submit a Proposal was April 27, 2026. Although multiple bidders successfully completed the Pre-Qualification Application, no Proposals were received as of this deadline. This was the second procurement held by PECO. No Pre-Qualification Applications were received for the first procurement held in the summer of 2025. In accordance with the Commission Order and Opinion for PECO’s DSP VI (Docket P-2024-3046008) and the contingency plan approved for the Solar RFP, there are no further procurements scheduled for this purpose for the DSP VI period from June 1, 2025 through May 31, 2029.
